Attention all adrenaline junkies…

Running with the bulls USA was the thrill of a lifetime. Runners put their lives on the line running 1/4 of a mile in front of twelve – 1500lbs raging bulls with horns. Running with the bulls was the most adrenaline-pumping, crazy dangerous thing runners ever did. Participants tested their skills, impressed their friends and checked an extreme sport off their bucket lists.

Big money and big bulls… oh yeah, there were thousands of dollars in cash and prizes… every heat had a winner…Including a $5,000.00 grand prize for most running points scored over two days.

Since Pamplona has been packin’ them for over 400 years, the running with the bulls USA had a few great ones. Their impressive history of operating running with the bulls festivals in the USA included:

Mesquite, NV: 1998 & 1999 – 10,000 Spectators / 1, 000 Runners

Meanwhile, the San Fermin festival in Pamplona, Spain hosts the bull run every year. Guests from all over the world visit Pamplona to run with the bulls or watch from a balcony. The festival also features the iconic Pamplona bullfights, unique Navarran gastronomy, and fun tours.

What does a spectator ticket include?

Spectators gain access to watch the exciting bull runs and enjoy the entertainment at this festival. Get a seat up front to cheer on friends and family as they cross off this bucket list experience.

Is running with the bulls dangerous?

Of course… it is an extreme sport, just like sky-diving, heli-skiing, and big wave surfing. It is not for the faint of heart. If you are a thrill-seeker, this is the event for you to cross off your bucket list.

What are the rules?
  • Runners must be at least 18 years old on the day of the run to participate. A valid government ID is required.
  • No mistreatment of the bulls in any way, this includes hitting, slapping, harassing.
  • No alcohol prior to the run.
  • No intentional impeding on the progress of the bulls or other runners.
  • Runners must wear appropriate clothing for running and closed-toe footwear.
  • No stopping or running backward on the track.
  • Once you exit the track, there is no re-entry for any reason.
  • If you fall down, stay down and cover your head until the bulls pass. This isn’t guaranteed to protect you, but it’s your best chance of avoiding a serious injury.
  • Spectators are not allowed to climb, stand or sit on the track fencing.
  • Each runner is responsible to familiarize themselves with the layout of the track prior to the run in order to complete the run as safely as possible. (Each track is different)
  • Failure to comply with any of these rules or the instructions of the event staff will result in your immediate removal from the entire Running with the Bulls venue.
How long is the run?

Each run is a thrill-seeking 1/4 mile.

How many bulls run?

A dozen bulls! That is 12 bulls. Bull will be released 6 at a time 15 seconds apart, giving you two waves of bulls passing you by during the run.

How are the runs organized?

There is a run every hour during the event. Before each event, the event staff will walk runners along the track and explain the rules. Runners will position themselves on the track according to their desired skill level. If you want to be close to the bulls, start near the center of the track. If you want the experience but a little less risk, line up near a fence.

How fast do bulls run?

Bulls run 15 miles per hour… much faster than you. Bulls run a four-minute mile, which means you won’t be running alongside them for more than a few seconds (unless you’re an Olympic sprinter).
